In the Mountain West, public lands and the lifestyles they support bring people together at a time when a lot seems to divide us. We all agree the outdoors is what makes living in states like Arizona, Colorado, Montana, New Mexico and Nevada so special. Protecting more open spaces, keeping them clean and accessible, and investing in public lands is so important to us because the outdoors defines are ways of life. More and more of us are bringing our passion for the outdoors to the voting booth. Over the past several election cycles, the Center for Western Priorities Winning the West project has documented a growing outdoor voting block. Lately the number of people who vote the outdoors is so strong that only candidates with pro-public lands positions are able to win close elections in the West.
This website is here to share the views of the growing number of outdoor voters in the West and keep you updated on issues involving public lands that we all care so deeply about.
